Why should I consider working with an attorney to handle my property insurance claim dispute?

Have you ever found yourself reading an instruction manual for new furniture and feeling like it was written in a foreign language? Understanding your property insurance policy can leave you feeling bewildered, betrayed, and desperate. Your insurance company will interpret your policy in the way that is most favorable to its cause. You need someone working for you who understands the legal and technical issues contained in insurance policy language and will then advocate for your rights under the policy.

The insurance company is going to have experts working hard on their side to help them deny or reduce your claim. You need a seasoned insurance attorney working hard to stand up for your rights.

We understand that being the victim of a property loss is a devastating event in your life. Unfortunately, many people feel victimized a second time when they have to battle with their insurance company to get fair payment for their claim. We focus solely on property insurance law which gives us an advantage at interpreting policies, understanding how insurance carriers work, and the tactics they use to undervalue or deny your claim. Your case will receive personalized attention from a seasoned insurance attorney and a staff that is trained to communicate with you.

My claim is out of the area. Do I need a local attorney?

No, you do not need a local attorney, but the attorney you hire must be licensed in the state of the property claim. We handle cases throughout the State of Florida and have handled many cases for Florida property owners who also reside out-of-state and winter in Florida. Today’s technology allows us to securely communicate and exchange documents with you in a variety of ways. As our client, we want to make sure you feel taken care of and well informed about your case. The important thing is to get the right attorney for the job. Location should not be a factor.

How much will this cost me?

We take most of our cases are on a contingency fee basis. This means you only pay attorney fees and costs if we get your claim paid. We agree to a fixed percentage of the recovery. If we win the case, our attorney fees and costs comes out of the money awarded to you. If we lose, neither you nor we will get any money and you will not owe us anything for fees or costs.

A handful of our cases are handled on an hourly fee basis. This mostly depends on the preference of the client and the amount pursued to resolve the dispute.
