Amy D. Boggs, Esq.
Florida Property Insurance Attorney
Experience
Property insurance attorney Amy Boggs, is CEO and founder of Boggs Law Group, P. A. and has been running the firm since 2010. She believes that every client matters and saw that large insurance law firms were losing sight of this important value. This inspired her to establish a boutique insurance claim law practice where cases are not handled in a production line manner, but instead with personal care and attention. Amy is proud to proclaim that Boggs Law Group is not a cookie cutter firm. Instead, the firm focuses on excellence of representation and client service. Amy is a leader in the industry and is active in legislative affairs and protecting policyholders from anti-consumer legislation. She believes in the justice system and its ability to help those who deserve it. She enjoys being the David to the Goliath of the insurance industry.
Amy decided to pursue law school when she saw how people become marginalized when they don’t know their rights. Beyond liking the idea of advocacy, she was determined to level the playing field between the individual and large impersonal institutions. She graduated from Stetson College of Law with honors and as Salutatorian. She was also a member of the Stetson Law Review and received the top course grade award in 7 courses. Amy began her law career in the year 2000 with Carlton Fields, practicing in the areas of insurance defense and general litigation. After witnessing the tactics used by big insurance, she became an advocate for policyholders with the Merlin Law Group in Tampa, Florida where she built her practice. Amy continued to specialize in first party property insurance claims and was selected as a Super Lawyers® “Rising Star” in 2009 and 2010. Due to her specialized knowledge as a property insurance attorney, she frequently speaks at industry conferences and has been interviewed as a policyholder advocate by several Florida television stations doing stories on property insurance claims. See some of Amy’s recent interviews here.
Amy is exceptionally passionate about her family and her work, considering those her callings in life. She and her husband have an empty nest after raising a brady-bunch clan of five children. When not at a speaking engagement or advocating for a cause, she can be found enjoying her big and bustling family, traveling or playing with her 3 dogs and 2 cats. She is indebted to all the pioneering women who set examples and forged a path of their own. Amy will tell you that she benefitted from great mentors in her life and seeks do the same for others whose talents only need a little encouragement to realize their full potential.
